Detailed Description
Argentina is one of the largest producers and exporters of wine in the world and your 8-day wine tour immerses you in the luxuries of culture that has emerged from a focus on quality varietals. The European vines and wine heritage brought by immigrants in the 19th and 20th centuries have turned into a culture specific to the vineyards of Mendoza and the arid northwest. The fundamental part of the culinary traditions in the city reflects luxurious style for formal and informal gatherings valuing the superiority in structure, complexity, concentration, and potential.
Your expansive wine tour begins with your arrival in Mendoza and the Primera Zona of the winegrowing region resulting in the most cultivated vines. Mendoza embodies the relaxed attitudes and an enthusiastic connection to wine production. The serene streets are filled with cafes and chocolate shops, restaurants and ice cream shops. The bodegas around glow with lush vines and vibrant flavors specific to the micro-regions in which the grapes are grown. The city erupts with tasty treats connected the wines, including confectionaries and bakeries. Family-run wineries highlight the different characteristics of similar grapes like Malbec grown on different sections of the terroir dominated by the rugged foothills of the Andes to the west.
The stylish, sustainable vineyards harmonize viniculture and nature offering samples of the most desirable flavors emphasized by oak barrels, steel vats, and the properties of the soil. The town of Cafayate is nestled into the Andes with vines spreading along the foothills growing iconic grapes like Torrontés and Malbec. Colomé unravels the marvels of the secluded wineries in the northwest. The estancia embodies a blend of history and modernity with an antique homestead and a contemporary art museum dedicated to light. The trip was absolutely delightful. The itinerary was well-paced, allowing time for touring, sightseeing, and leisurely free time. Zicasso's travel agent did an exceptional job at each phase of the planning, organizing, and implementation. Individual tour guides were accommodating, thoughtful, gracious, and attentive. The travel agent made himself available throughout the trip, adapting when needed. All drivers were courteous, efficient, and always on time. While none of the drivers spoke English, they made every effort to communicate as best as possible.

Zicasso travel agents surpassed all expectations. They were responsive, dedicated professionals. From initial planning to the actual implementation, they were there every minute. This was the most worry-free three-week trip I have ever done. The itinerary and planning suggestions were spot-on, which meant there was very little help required. However, when there was, it was immediate. Using this travel agency has changed the way I will travel in the future. Using experts can make travel almost stress-free. Thank you.

As we had already committed to an Antarctica cruise, we contacted Zicasso's travel agency to extend the trip to include Patagonia and other parts of South America. From our first conversation with our agent, we felt as though he immediately understood what we wanted to do, asked pertinent questions to assess our interest, and listened to our responses. In essence, he "got it.” He developed an itinerary that seamlessly integrated into our existing trip, extending the front and back ends of our planned adventure.
Our trip began in Santiago, where he incorporated the cruise portion of our trip. From there, he added in the rest of the itinerary to begin after the Antarctica cruise. This part included Patagonia (the Chilean and Argentina sides), Buenos Aires, and Iguazú Falls. Overall, we traveled for 31 days.
The hand-offs were smooth and the properties in which we stayed exceeded our expectations. The guides who cared for us were spot-on and accommodated any requests on our behalf.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Our only “take-away” was we wished we had built in a few extra days at each location to simply enjoy the fantastic properties and amenities in both areas of Patagonia and Iguazú.
We wholeheartedly recommend our agent and his team!

This was an amazing trip to Argentina and Chile. Our experience with Zicasso's travel agency was exceptional from start to finish. They listened to our wishes, created a wonderful itinerary, had a top-rate app, and even did little things like check us in for our flights and add boarding passes to the app. All the hotels, neighborhoods, and experiences they picked were spectacular. They worked with us on a complicated flight itinerary and were incredibly responsive to all our needs. I would highly recommend this company and this trip for people looking for a mix of cities, wine, and nature.
