Detailed Description

Bali is known as the Island of the Gods and during your 12-day family-friendly adventure, you will uncover the essence of charm and beauty emanating from the hills, highlands, and beaches. The family can easily lose itself in the fabric of the iconic culture for which Bali is known as the only Hindu society in Southeast Asia. Bali considers children sacred and a community affair, accounting for the cherished affection families traveling around the island receive while visiting temples or enjoying more adventurous activities shaping the perfect tropical family getaway.

The marvelous excursion to Bali begins with the family’s arrival in Ubud. Three days in the island’s capital of culture represents the spirit of Hinduism, the supported efforts of artisans, and preserved traditions of the local farming community. Your time in Ubud consists of exploring the fabulous scenery and immersing the family in the remarkable heritage of the island by viewing the Barong and Kirs dance telling a tale of the demon king and cycling around Ubud finding the celebrated artist market and captivating Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. Outside of Ubud, the farming traditions are introduced to the family teaching them how to cultivate rice and the methods needed for producing chocolate at a cocoa plantation.

Spend a few days at Bali Barat National Park to uncover the serene beauty of Bali’s land and sea. The temple of Ulun Danu Bratan embodies the wonder of the highlands leading to the western shoreline. Explore the temple complex on a lake island before settling into the luxurious comforts of a beachside hotel. Embrace the slower life of western Bali when surrounded by the natural wonders of nature. The kids can search for wild animals on the forest trails and scour the coral reef for colorful fish during a snorkeling excursion to Pulau Menjangan.

Discover the fantastical landscapes of Bali’s highlands with two nights in Munduk. The quiet village showcases the allure of the mountains most visitors to Bali miss captured in the fabulous views and remarkable waterfalls scattered along the peaks and slopes. While in Munduk, the entire family can enjoy the beauty of the countryside displayed within the budding lush plantations including a coffee plantation providing insight into the cultivation and flavors of delicious Balinese coffee. Cycle around the neighboring villages of Munduk in search of possible strawberry farms to visit or hidden waterfalls to uncover.

Several nights in Jimbaran bring the family back to the treasures of the Balinese shoreline this time on the southern coast of the island. Return to the culture of the island when visiting Uluwatu Temple at sunset. Each night the clifftop temple hosts magnificent sunsets followed by the enchanting storytelling performance of the Kecak Fire Dance. Your time on the beach brings the family into the waters with a private surf lesson and illuminates the tradition of ceramics on the island with a pottery class teaching the finer techniques of crafting traditional images of folklore or kitchenware. Realize the intricate flavors of Balinese gastronomy with a family-friendly cooking class learning how to marry the proper ingredients for specific local flavor before winding down on your final night in Bali at the family’s leisure. Looking for the top Bali family vacation ideas? Indonesia Trip Review: Yogyakarta, Ubud, Temples, Snorkeling, Wildlife, 2-Week Tour

Zicasso's travel agent did a wonderful job of arranging seamless, complex transfers from Java to Gili Air to Ubud, Bali, and provided great guides, drivers, and advice, as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot and local currency on arrival. We did have an issue with hotels not reserved until a couple of days ahead and he promptly resolved the problem.

Our agent was a very responsive and prompt communicator. We would recommend!

Bali / Indonesia Travel Review: Ubud, Sanur, Candikuning, Safari, Rice Fields, Coffee Plantation, Local Cuisine, Culture, 7-Night Trip

The hotel in Sanur was absolutely special! We highly recommend it. The resort in Ubud was also wonderful. The staff were great. We had no idea this town was such a vibrant place and would have loved more time to explore it, possibly from a walkable hotel.

Our guide and driver were wonderful and flexible when we needed to stop for a Diet Coke and iced cappuccino. We also felt that Zicasso's travel company was flexible with our changes as we went.

We did the Bali safari on our transfer day and it was a stop we really enjoyed.

Nice job, all involved!

Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia Vacation Review: Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Boat Rides, Mount Batur, Hiking, Jagasari, Rice Terraces, Dance Performance, 12 Nights

Overall, Zicasso’s travel agent was excellent. The agent was very receptive to our requests, planned our trip very well based on our input, and every arrangement was seamless, without any hiccups.

Singapore is quite humid and can get hot, more than Texas. With walking everywhere, it can be uncomfortable, so perhaps plan to visit in the cooler months, based on local agents’ feedback.

Vietnam was a surprise in all dimensions. It had very good infrastructure. The travel agents took fantastic care of us and the trips to Ninh Bình, which included a bamboo boat tour, and Hạ Long Bay, with a private boat tour, were noteworthy and must-dos.

Bali was a magical and mystical land, with extremely polite and hospitable people and an extraordinary guide who was calm and facilitated our tour so well. The early-morning Mount Batur hike, though moderately strenuous, was worth it, as the sunrise was spectacular, and the trip to the Jagasari area was peaceful and so insightful. I highly recommend staying longer than the four days we stayed and perhaps changing the location to the coast and north side, as traveling within the island from one spot to another takes a long time. The highlight was the kechak dance performance. It gave us goosebumps.

The arrangements were wonderful, with great accommodations and transportation.

Thanks to our travel agent.

Indonesia Family Tour Review: Bali, Yogyakarta, Flores, Sumba, Temples, Wildlife, 18 Days

We had a spectacular time making memories with our family in Indonesia. The Zicasso tour agency's team was considerate, caring, accommodating, and well-organized. Their attention to detail, consideration, and anticipation of issues were unparalleled. We were out of the country and they still made sure we got the best service from the craftsman we ordered from. Our family will have lasting memories of this special time. We are looking forward to booking another trip with them.
