The Makgadikgadi Pans are a vast expanse of salt desert in northeastern Botswana that are part of the greater Kalahari. The game viewing here is exceptional, as you will discover on daily game drives and mokoro excursions with experienced safari guides.

Your luxury safari camp is an intimate camp that offers land and water activities. You will rarely see another vehicle as you gently cruise the waterlily-laden waterways by mokoro in search of frogs. During your time here, you can also partake in game drives through the ancient island forest after sable and wild dogs or take to the skies in a hot air balloon. The area around your camp is a haven that is known for lions, rhinos, leopards, giraffes, elephants, and crocodiles.

Life on safari takes on a special rhythm. You will rise early for a morning excursion while the bush comes to life. Game drives in open 4WD vehicles allow you to get very close to the wildlife. You will then return to camp for a spectacular lunch and relaxing midday siesta. As the sun starts to descend, you will follow your guides in search of lion and leopard on the hunt. The Okavango wilderness is so large and varied that you will can frequently experience a different location and another equally impressive safari camp. After breakfast today, you will fly to the Linyanti Concession, which is a private game reserve that sees a massive influx of big game during the dry season, including elephants, impalas, wildebeest, giraffes, and buffalos. Your early morning will be accompanied with the delivery of hot tea, coffee, and cookies to your suite. You will then venture out in your 4WD Land Rover with a blanket to keep out the chilly air.
