Detailed Description
There is never an end to the splendor of Southeast Asia on this 11-day tour through Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. It is easy to imagine the wonders of the area before you even step onto the plane, journeying through the jungles and along the famed patty-fields that stretch, rise, and stretch along the hillside. From historic grandeur to modern elegance, flourishing culture to sensational skylines, experience the highlights of Southeast Asia and experience a different world.
Your highlights tour begins in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. The city’s modern edges wrap around its historic beauty giving temples and quiet streets hidden niches to explore. The diverse aromas of succulent foods and vibrant incense stretch along the boulevards. Tour through the city and find the splendor of the Thai Grand Palace, where the gilded towers and immaculate walls give sheen to the city. Along the shores of the river you will find some of the most opulent temples that have been preserved through the country’s history. With a day at leisure within the famous capital, you could enjoy the storied streets of the city or take a journey to the sensational floating markets that fill the river-way with colorful boats and fresh produce before arriving in Chiang Mai, the capital of northern Thailand. Your journey in and around Chiang Mai is filled with the imposing fortress that continues to protect the old city, where the moat has become a destination to stroll. Visit elephants at one of the country’s elephant reserves which protect and help the important and, to many, holy animal.
Continue on to Siem Reap where the magnificence of Angkor Wat is famed for good reason. The antique temples rise and stretch around the open jungle spaces that were once forgotten by time and locals alike. Faces are carved into the stones, stoic and imposing, while monks continue to use many of the larger structures as places of worship. Transfer from the rising temples of Siem Reap to the rising skyline of Ho Chi Minh City, where the rivaled history between the north and south, the east and the west can be felt in the undercurrent of the bustling metropolis. There is an air of lightness that is layered over the top of the city, where the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex and vibrant, diverse markets add to the unparalleled splendor and culture of the city. Your venture through Ho Chi Minh City and Southeast Asia will come to an eventual end; however, the grandeur of the landscapes and cities will always be there to welcome you back.

We had a great trip to Thailand with our Zicasso trip planner. They set us up with a very helpful guide in Bangkok, who made it easy from the time we stepped off the plane, through all the temples, activities, night markets, tuk-tuks, and boats.
Our hotel in Bangkok was great, with nice views and a nice breakfast buffet. We took the free hotel ferry to the shopping mall and it was a lot of fun.
Our resort in Koh Samui was incredible. It had a great beach and pool. The elephant sanctuary and the cooking class were highlights. We would probably pass on Pig Island next time as it was very dirty and we saw pigs getting attacked.
Overall, we had a great time and the tour guide took care of us completely, from start to finish.

We had an amazing, nearly three-week trip throughout Southeast Asia. Zicasso's tour operators did an incredible job planning all of the details of the trip. In general, I am not easily impressed and I tend to be pretty upfront with my criticism. In this case, I was truly impressed. I really don't have any criticism about the whole experience.
This was a very complicated trip, with eight cities/locations and six internal flights. We had great communication in the months and weeks leading up to the trip. They were receptive to all of our requests and they gave very good advice when we had questions.
All of the guides were great. The hotels were amazing and all of the details of the activities, transfers, and internal flights were well thought out and well coordinated. I was so impressed by their attention to detail. They were also willing to be flexible and able to make changes, even during the trip. I was able to reach them throughout the trip by WhatsApp and they responded quickly every time. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

We traveled to Vietnam and Cambodia from May 8 to 22, 2025. This was my fifth trip through Zicasso. As expected, the itinerary was excellent and exactly what we were looking for. I did double my budget from what I initially sent to Zicasso.
All of the lodging selections were outstanding. Along with the tours of the Ho Chi Minh complex, Hue Imperial City, the Angkor Wat complex, and numerous other temples and pagodas, we experienced a cable car ride to a mountain summit, a walk through an ethnic village, a water puppet show, a Cambodian circus, a Vietnamese cooking class, an evening lantern boat ride in Hoi An, and dinner in one of the top 50 restaurants in Asia. The water puppets are an ancient Vietnamese art (11th century) and the show was extraordinary.

Zicasso's travel specialist arranged a wonderful trip and was extremely responsive to our interest in all art forms, culture, cuisine, and the American war in Vietnam. She was very receptive to revisions, even during the trip.
