Paris – Welcome to France
All the great European cities are built around the water, and Paris’ great artery is the River Seine. Touch down in the French capital, and it’s the river that provides your introduction. Start cruising beneath the Eiffel Tower. Drift past 18th-century neighborhoods, then view the dome of Notre Dame. Travel beneath the famous bridges, the eyes of sculptures looking down on your journey. Watch the city roll by, from street musicians on the boulevards to flea markets and alfresco cafes. Spot people eating picnics on the banks and gaze up at some of the world’s most recognizable buildings. Detailed Description
The marks of history are what this handcrafted tour to Europe is all about. You will have over two weeks to explore Parisian icons, the Vatican City, Ancient Rome, and Ancient Greece. There are six overnight stops in total: Paris, Nice, Rome, Florence, Athens, Nafplio. Such a journey takes you to cobbled neighborhoods, expressive galleries, millennia-old icons, and the highlights of many different eras. There is more than just the famous postcard sights. As expert guides lead the way, you’ll enjoy an authentic jump into the local culture as well.
Three days in Paris is perfect for getting to know the city. First cruise on the River Seine, a timeless introduction provided by the city’s main artery. Then spend a day in the neighborhoods, checking out chocolatiers, patisseries, charming streets and cafe culture. Day three is flexible and focuses on the city’s unmissable landmarks – unmissable defined by you as that could be the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, or Champs-Elysees. Ride the world’s fastest train, the TGV, to the south of France, and two days on the Cote d’Azur. Nice is your base, but you’ll also discover the highlights of Monaco and Cannes, all three destinations full of French glamor and glitz.
Initial Italian impressions come to Rome, your hotel on the same street as the Pantheon. It takes a day to get around the wonders of Ancient Rome and a local historian helps you decipher myth and fiction. Spend day six in the Vatican, from St Peter’s Basilica to the Sistine Chapel, before traveling through the centuries to Renaissance Florence. Art and architecture is the theme of day eight, one that’s continued with a day trip to Pisa, Siena, and Tuscan vineyards. Just like your time in France and Greece, there are many superlative sights on every single day. Sometimes you must scroll through your camera or phone, just to confirm you’ve seen so many epic places in such a short amount of time.
Fly from Florence to Athens and immerse yourself in the city’s history, from memoirs to Zeus and Athena to tightly-packed neighborhoods beneath the Acropolis. Then escape to the coast. Breathe in the salty air, check out the turquoise, and watch the sunset from a medieval castle. There’s a huge amount of history in Nafplio as well, but mostly the experience is about sitting back and recollecting what has gone before. Two weeks doesn’t sound like a lot of time to explore the highlights of France, Italy, and Greece, but Europe is always quick to show you how small it is. In two weeks, you don’t just travel through three countries you cover 3,000 years of Western civilization.

This was my husband’s and my first trip to Greece and, like any incredible country, it was so tough to decide what to see and do. Luckily, we found Zicasso's tour specialist and, suddenly, our dream trip became a reality. She worked with us for about a year to customize an itinerary that met all our needs, while introducing us to hidden gems we might never have discovered on our own.
We spent 11 unforgettable days exploring Athens, Delphi, Nafplio, and the island of Naxos. Each day was thoughtfully planned, offering a fantastic mix of excursions, dining experiences, and cultural activities. From touring breathtaking archaeological sites to indulging in cheese and olive tastings, taking an amazing cooking class, and visiting the Citron distillery, every experience was uniquely special. Despite the busy schedule, we still had plenty of time to wander, soak in additional sights, and relax on Naxos' stunning beaches.
What truly set this trip apart was the exceptional service. The drivers were friendly and polite, and our tour guides were so knowledgeable and so engaging, making us feel at home in each destination. Wherever we went, the guides enriched our experience with captivating insights and expertly answered all our questions. Their warmth and professionalism made us feel completely at ease.
Once we arrived in Greece, her team remained incredibly accessible. When a flight delay between Naxos and Athens Airport put our connection at risk, we reached out to her. She and her team immediately arranged for someone to meet us at the Athens airport, helping us navigate smoothly and ensuring we caught our flight.
They truly went above and beyond to ensure that our trip was fun, enriching and seamless! We highly, highly recommend this tour company.

Zicasso's travel company made our bucket-list trip to Greece come to life! They organised all our tours and transportation, worked with us to provide activities that were in line with our interests, and even gave detailed information on suggested itineraries for our free days.
Some highlights included the walking tour(s) of Athens, our trip to see Santorini, and the best steak I have ever had at a beach hotel in Naxos! Our only suggestion is that we went on a day tour to Delos which was self-guided. There is so much history there though that a guided tour would have been helpful. I would definitely recommend booking your tour with them!

We had a fantastic experience for a first-time trip to Italy. I wasn't sure how this would be, considering I learned about Zicasso while trying to plan the trip myself. Zicasso put me in touch with a travel specialist and the whole team was incredibly responsive to my many, many questions. If they were ever annoyed, it didn’t show.
I really wanted a smooth experience for my family of five, including three teens, one of whom has Celiac. Our agent was great in helping plan out the experience we wanted. As you may know, it is challenging to find rooms for five in Europe, but the travel company found apartments (usually two bedrooms with a pull-out couch) in the heart of town. You can really customize what you do, but we elected to plan our own meals and handle some of our own transport. We did have one issue where the van driver taking us to the train failed to show. I got one with Uber and the travel company quickly (I mean before we got home quickly!) refunded that amount.
Our contact in Italy was amazing and patient. I can’t give her enough credit. Any time I was unsure of something, she was there. The tours were great, especially Florence and Rome. You may be able to find the companies online, but ours seems to have the connections to get the best guides.
As for meals, we didn’t have any issues. We used an app and got a few recommendations from the travel company and local guides. Even our wine-tasting tour out in Tuscany was accommodating.
I would use our travel company and Zicasso again. I think the only downside is we tried to cram a lot in and it was hot. I probably should have asked for one to two fewer or shorter walking tours, especially on days we switched cities. Otherwise, it was excellent.

Zicasso's tour company did a wonderful job of planning our dream honeymoon! Our travel agent took into consideration our wants and wishes, and created half- and full-day activities for us throughout the trip. We were able to visit four locations (Rome, Sorrento, Florence, and Venice) while in Italy. The trip was a perfect mix of relaxation and exploration. The tour company took away the stress of traveling and allowed us to enjoy the days without worries.

Our trip to mainland Greece, organized by Zicasso's tour agency, was the best luxury trip my husband and I have enjoyed to date. Every hotel and site tour guide was carefully selected for our needs and interests, and they were all outstanding! Our driver for the entire trip was warm, courteous, and highly professional. We saw all the sites we'd requested and a couple of fun surprises along the way.
We travelled from Athens to various spots in the Peloponnese, then through the lush plains of Thessaly to Meteora, and then, finally, Thessaloniki. The accommodations were superb, with special shout-outs to the hotels in Athens, Nafplio, and Thessaloniki. We spent our last night at the Athens airport hotel and were so glad we did. The suite was stunning and completely soundproof. The food during our trip was incredible (especially at the hotel roof restaurant in Thessaloniki) and traveling by car allowed us to fully appreciate the gorgeous mountain and sea views. The Greek people were warm and super-friendly. Nearly everyone spoke English.
When we arrived in Athens, our travel consultants met us at our centrally located, fabulous hotel with all the info we needed, as well as a Greek cell phone and lovely gifts. All instructions were clear and details perfectly arranged. We really can't exaggerate how wonderful this trip was and we'll definitely return to this company for our next trip to Greece. 10/10 stars, though they deserve an even higher rating.
