Detailed Description

Iceland is a country that possesses majestic waterfalls, massive glaciers, mystical canyons that appear as if out of nowhere, and many other natural wonders that are waiting for you to explore. During your stay, you will be impressed by the country’s charm while discovering unique landscapes, such as lava caves that conceal remarkable hot springs. From the oldest beer company in Iceland to walking on black sand beaches, you will experience many of the highlights that Iceland has to offer during this luxurious, 10-day adventure.

The Westfjords are a wonder to behold, but many visitors tend to miss them on their vacation to Iceland. The westernmost point holds a cluster of vibrant birdlife, and nearby, lies the magical, bridal veil waterfall of Dynjandi. The following day, you will indulge in a whale-watching expedition in Akureyri before learning about the Skutustadir pseudocraters that resemble Mars. You will enter a crack in the ground to access the Grjotagja lava cave, which holds a geothermal secret. Here, you will be enchanted by the folklore that surrounds this mystical cave. Afterward, you will venture toward the Arctic Henge, where you will ride sturdy, Icelandic steeds across lava fields before flying high above the Asbyrgi Canyon.

The following day, you will be amazed at the volcanic rock as you hike to the top of Ljosatungur mountain near Borgarfjordur. Then, you will traipse across a glittering Beach that will make you feel like you are walking on diamonds. You will then make your way across the gigantic Langjokull glacier, and as you drive back toward Reykjavik, you will traverse the popular Seljalandsfoss to locate a hidden gem of Gljufrabui. You will also be provided with the opportunity to submerge yourself in the healing depths of the Blue Lagoon, which has the ability to refresh your soul. The exciting and elemental nature of Iceland will empower you with its fierce charm one last time as your private transfer escorts you to Keflavik Airport for your flight home.

Iceland Tour Review: Local Cuisine, Culture, 10-Day Trip

Zicasso's travel agent was fantastic in all aspects of planning our trip. I laid out our desires for what we wanted to see and do during our time in Iceland, and he exceeded every expectation we had.

We were nervous to be traveling with a one-year-old, but he made sure we had a pack and play in every hotel, and the accommodations were perfect. His recommendations for when and where to add excursions to our itinerary were invaluable. He made sure that each day was filled with adventure, but left enough time to relax and spend ample time at each stop.

On one of the days, we got a late start and messaged him to change the time of our excursion. Within 15 minutes we were booked for later in the day. I cannot recommend him and his team enough. Five stars!

We received excellent support during the planning of the trip, with many good options that were responsive to our interests. There was good organization during the trip, with a great guide who had obviously extensive local knowledge of the areas visited and Iceland in general.

Iceland Vacation Review: Glacier and Ice Cave Hiking, Snorkeling, Silfra, Reykjavik, Northern Lights, 5 Nights

Our first time in Iceland was wonderful. What an experience all 14 of us had, thanks to the amazing work of Zicasso’s travel company.

We began planning our adventure one year ago. Our agent was fantastic to work with over the entire year. He kept our group informed and was very prompt at replying to any question our large group encountered. His work did not stop once we got to Iceland, as he was extremely helpful in navigating us on the island as our trip was delayed because of weather.

The hotel selections, the airport transfers, and the guide during our days outside of Reykjavík were outstanding. Special thanks to our driver, who got our entire crew around the southern coast through some challenging weather moments.

I highly recommend (five-plus stars) our travel company and our entire family is extremely grateful for the work done to enable us to have such a memorable family adventure.
