In the morning, you will wake to the buzz of city life below as cafes begin to stir with customers and taxis round busy plazas. You can begin the day with a beautiful array of locally sourced fruit, like maracuya and chirimoya, along with tea or coffee and tostada. Soon, you will meet your guide in the hotel lobby and set out to explore Lima's historic downtown. Together, you will stroll through the Plaza de Armas and sit beneath shady palm trees as you explore intricate stonework and elaborate wood balconies emblematic of Spanish colonial design. You can step inside Lima's grand basilica, and even venture below ground to the historic catacombs. You can spend the morning exploring open-aired markets like the San Pedro Market before lunching at a sunkissed patio in San Blas.

In the afternoon, you will visit some of Cusco's most prized historical gems, including the Qorikancha Sun Temple along the Avenida del Sol, built with such fortitude by the Incas that the temple withstood three separate earthquakes. Later that day, you will venture beyond the city to explore Saqsayhuaman, the great Incan fortress, and Tambomachay, which once served as the spa baths for the Inca elite.

The next day of your couple's trip to Peru will constitute an adrenaline rush and a day filled with excitement. After a light breakfast beside your hotel in San Blas, you will board private transportation and begin to snake your way through the Sacred Valley en route to Machu Picchu. You can both stare out the windows as you pass majestic rolling hills that morph into the rugged mountain peaks of the Andes. Small villages and farmlands dot the horizons as cattle graze nearby. Rushing waters of the Urubamba River churn past as you cross vibrant bridges and unassuming ancient relics of the Inca Empire.

By mid-day, you are in for an adventure as you join a local expert guide on a hiking and zipline expedition—trek through thick vegetation filled with beautiful flowers and sweet-smelling aromas. Then, take off on a breathtaking zipline ride across the valley. Later that evening, you will arrive at your private sky lodge accommodation, a glass-enclosed dome of sorts that offers panoramic views of the valley below. You and your partner will enjoy a romantic evening as a locally-sourced traditional Andean meal is delivered to you. Then, relax at night as you look out on the starry black sky.

In the morning, you will set out for the internationally acclaimed UNESCO ruins. You will board a luxury train in the early daylight hours from the neighboring city of Ollantaytambo. From inside the train car, you can enjoy panoramic views of the valley outstretched around you, with glass panels overhead as well. You will also enjoy a steeping cup of mate de coca tea on board. Then, you will meet your guide in your hotel lobby and once again board the luxury train service through the captivating Sacred Valley. Once you arrive in Cusco, you will board a regional flight back to Lima. From Lima's airport, you can connect to your international flight home.
