We could not have had a better experience than with Zicasso's trip planner. The quality of individualized tours, accommodations, and private transportation made our trip. Most importantly, if we had any questions during our trip in this new country, she was immediately responsive. We have been spoiled forever and would use her services for any future trips!

Portugal Tour Review: Douro Valley, History, Culture, Wine Tasting, 9 Nights

Portugal is a beautiful country, with so many great things to offer! We loved every minute of our time there!

Zicasso's travel agency helped us plan the perfect trip! They listened to what we were looking for and helped execute the vision flawlessly! We were able to strike the right balance between busy days, seeing all there is to see and learning about the culture, history, and landscape of Portugal, and more relaxed time to take it all in and explore on our own!

Our agent and her team paid close attention to the details, which went so far in making sure we had the perfect trip!

Portugal Trip Review: Lisbon, Évora, the Dao Valley, the Douro Valley, Porto, Sunset Sail, Fado, Cathedral, Cork Trek, Wine Tasting, Monastery, Hiking, Port Tasting, 16 Nights

Our Zicasso travel agent curated a private tour for the six of us, including the perfect mix of historical, gastronomical, wine, and cultural experiences.

We stayed in Lisbon, Évora, the Dao Valley, the Douro Valley, and Porto. We traveled in a comfortable Mercedes van and, to break up our trips, we stopped at amazing sites along the way as we traveled from city to city.

Some of our favorite things were a private sunset sail in Lisbon, a fado dinner, the Évora Cathedral, a cork trek and wine tasting in Alentejo, the monastery at Batalha, wine tastings in Santar (Dao Valley), a boat ride on the Douro, wine tastings and hiking in the Douro Valley, the Bom Jesus shrine in Braga, the Port tasting and dinner in Porto, and multiple pastry tastings along the way.

Our guides were fantastic. They were attentive, on time, and very knowledgeable about the history and culture of each place we visited.

There were very few issues on our 17-day tour, which was literally one of the smoothest and best-curated trips we have ever had. We will use our travel company and agent again as we intend to go back to Porto and the Douro Valley.
