Our Zicasso travel agent and her team were awesome at putting together a memorable trip. I am a foodie and found that their restaurant recommendations were spot on. My experience in the past was that these are typically touristy and just OK. Not this time! I wish I had made reservations earlier at some of them so we could have experienced all of them. The fado show was better than expected and the meal was fantastic.

Our guide and driver in Lisboa was so fun and knowledgeable, with so much history of Portugal. We especially loved his personality. Our guide for Porto and the Duoro Valley knew so much about wine and Port. His restaurant recommendations were also perfect for the vibe we wanted to experience there. We loved Porto the best!! It was such a beautiful, quaint, yet vibrant city.

We rented a car for part of our trip going from Porto to Lagos, but I think it would have been better to have a driver for the whole trip. Cars are so small in Europe and there is always an issue fitting luggage, even when you think an SUV should be big enough. The station wagons are a better bet for four people plus luggage. That said, I think the drivers were totally worth the experience in getting around and being flexible to changes that fit into the schedule. I would use this company again if I ever returned to Portugal or Spain.

My husband and I had an unforgettable 19-day adventure through Spain, all thanks to our Zicasso travel agent. Without his help, making these changes on our own would have been stressful and time-consuming.

We spent 16 delightful days in Spain and Portugal to celebrate the significant occasion of our 75th birthdays. Our vision was an active vacation ultimately covering Barcelona, Porto, Lisbon, Seville, Córdoba, Toledo and Madrid. We had a general idea of what we wanted to achieve. The lynchpin in melding our thoughts was the wonderful tour operator whose guidance was flawless. Our relationship became a trusted partnership. He was extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and communicative. Structuring the itinerary with him, we never looked back. We jointly customized individual days to allow for the scheduled "must-sees," while alternating leisurely wanderings on our own. Tours were adjusted to include our interests.

All of our transportation was well coordinated and prompt; a variety of planes, trains, a driver… even a motorcycle with a sidecar.

Our accommodations were all centrally located and attractive. We were very pleased with our trip.

The trip was a life-changing experience and included all the things our family enjoys. It was a very immersive experience living in the midst of local people and interacting with tour guides who were like our family while we were there. My wife and I had a great trip using this Zicasso travel company. We traveled on a 10-day tour to Lisbon, Madrid, and Barcelona. Overall, we had five personal guides. We would rate four of them at nine out of 10. It was interesting how some of the guides paid for some of the costs, like taxis, snacks, etc, but it wasn’t consistent, so we never knew when we should pay. That got a little awkward.

We liked the fact that we could text the agency using WhatsApp and they would get back to us in a very timely manner. And the itinerary/guide they provided was very helpful. One was left at our first hotel, which was great.

The hotels selected were very good. Breakfast in all of them was excellent. Although we like modern, the one hotel in Madrid was actually too modern; not cozy enough. We would select more traditional in the future.

The only issue we had was when we first arrived in Lisbon. We flew out of New York on a night flight, so when you land, it’s 7am. When we got to the hotel, the room wasn’t ready since it was so early. We were exhausted and needed to rest in a room. This was a real issue for me. They should have known this and suggested an early-morning check-in. Lesson learned on our part.
