We had the most amazing trip! Working with Zicasso’s tour operator and her team was absolutely wonderful. They provided communication throughout the planning stages of our itinerary and updates each day on details of the next day. The team was also available should we need any additional information. They did such a great job to ensure our trip went smoothly and seamlessly. Everything went just as planned!

We had never connected using WhatsApp. This was an excellent way to communicate and the entire team was always accessible and very informative with details of our daily itinerary, guides, agenda, tips, etc... We could not have asked for better service. And we truly felt each member of our travel team had the most sincere interest in offering us the best trip we could have imagined. Based on our general interests, they put together a wonderful itinerary and made ideal suggestions for places to explore and unique experiences to partake in. Each of the hotels they selected was super and met our desires. We wanted to spend a few nights at each of our lodgings so as not to pack/unpack daily. We asked for smaller boutique hotels located in the historic areas of towns. Their selections were spot-on and each included breakfast, which was a wonderful bonus.

We went sailing one day in the Mediterranean toward the end of our trip. Two members of the team greeted us as we got off the sailboat and together, we walked a couple blocks to the agency’s office. How fortunate we were to meet the team in person! It was really fun to personally share with them our gratitude for the skill and effort they put in to make our custom-made trip so exceptional. Honestly, I can't begin to fully express in words how terrifically wonderful our experience was working with the agents and the absolutely incredible trip they created for us!

When we began planning for this trip in early 2024, we evaluated several travel consultant companies. After reviewing each company's proposals, we selected our Zicasso travel agent to assist us in planning a very special trip to Portugal for our group of 16 travelers consisting of family and friends.

From the beginning of our process, our agent was exceptional in putting together an itinerary that would provide the mix of planned excursions/adventures and downtime that allowed each person to explore/experience each day on their own. She was always willing to talk with me when I had questions or wanted to discuss elements of our trip. Given the eight-hour time difference between us, I was greatly appreciative of her flexibility.

Each element of our itinerary was planned in specific detail and very well organized. The trip app was a fantastic tool that allowed us to keep track of our trip details on a day-by-day basis and adjust in real time as plans were updated. For example, our fado dinner show venue had a plumbing issue and could not honor our reservation. Another venue was identified, the app was updated, and not a beat was missed. The new venue was wonderful, the food was authentic Portuguese, and the entertainment was the best.

The support from our travel specialist and her team while our group was on the ground in Portugal was amazing. We were able to use the chat feature of the app to ask real-time questions and get prompt answers. The app was an invaluable and essential part of our trip's success. Everyone in our group had the app on their phones and was always aware of what was going on.

The hotels we selected with our specialist's help were top shelf in terms of location, amenities, and service. The tour guides who led our group through walking tours, food and wine tastings, visiting the Douro Valley, a Jeep tour of Madeira, and tuk-tuk tour to Monte in Madeira were all excellent, bringing their knowledge, energy, and fun to our group. They were all awesome.

The logistics of transporting a group of 16 from airports to hotels and back can be daunting. With a few hiccups along the way, the drivers were super-friendly and professional. We did have one blip related to the airport pick-up of 10 of our group when arriving late at night in Porto from the east coast. The drivers did not have the name of our group on their sign and as a result our group and the drivers kept passing one another for over 30 minutes. The staff of our hotel in Porto quickly intervened and resolved the situation. When landing in Lisbon, we did not see a driver with our group name listed. It turned out the transport company was stationed at meeting point #3, which we were not instructed about. Lisbon is a large, busy airport and it was somewhat disorganized until we made a call to the transport company and found our contact,

On our last night in Lisbon, our group discussed what some of our members called a "once-in-a-lifetime adventure.” Without a doubt, our travel team performed well above our expectations!! The hotels, restaurants, guides, drivers, and the team's support were awesome. I would definitely recommend them without any hesitation!

My husband and I had an unforgettable 19-day adventure through Spain, all thanks to our Zicasso travel agent. We had a general idea of the cities we wanted to visit and he expertly arranged our stays in top-tier hotels, all in beautiful and convenient locations. He also introduced us to unique experiences we wouldn’t have thought of on our own, like a private bike tour of Salamanca and a day trip from Barcelona to the charming medieval city of Girona.

He helped us navigate the most efficient ways to travel between cities and took care of all transportation arrangements, including car rentals, train tickets, and a private driver. When we decided to extend our trip after the original itinerary was set, he smoothly adjusted the dates and activities for us.

We had nine private tour guides, each of whom was friendly and knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to show us the most interesting sites in each city. Thanks to them, we bypassed long lines and felt like we had VIP access to every location.

Staying in contact with our agent throughout the trip was invaluable. For example, when a private event conflicted with our scheduled tour of Parc Güell in Barcelona, he texted us in advance to reschedule the visit and offered alternative activities at no extra cost. Without his help, making these changes on our own would have been stressful and time-consuming.

In short, our agent’s expert guidance made our trip seamless and unforgettable. We can’t imagine traveling through Spain without him!

What a great trip! Zicasso’s tour operator and her people laid out everything so wonderfully! They were with us every step of the way. From great tours to fantastic restaurants to top-notch hotels, they planned all of it to perfection. They even had the trains planned, including the switch in Paris from one station to the other.

The trip was a life-changing experience and included all the things our family enjoys. It was a very immersive experience living in the midst of local people and interacting with tour guides who were like our family while we were there. The Zicasso travel company paid attention to all the details in our requests and planned a very organized and well-thought-out trip. We spent 16 delightful days in Spain and Portugal to celebrate the significant occasion of our 75th birthdays. Our vision was an active vacation ultimately covering Barcelona, Porto, Lisbon, Seville, Córdoba, Toledo and Madrid. We had a general idea of what we wanted to achieve. The lynchpin in melding our thoughts was the wonderful tour operator whose guidance was flawless. Our relationship became a trusted partnership. He was extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and communicative. Structuring the itinerary with him, we never looked back. We jointly customized individual days to allow for the scheduled "must-sees," while alternating leisurely wanderings on our own. Tours were adjusted to include our interests.

All of our transportation was well coordinated and prompt; a variety of planes, trains, a driver… even a motorcycle with a sidecar.

Our accommodations were all centrally located and attractive. We were very pleased with our trip.

I was planning a trip to Spain for my mom, dad, and myself for my mother's 85th birthday. We have taken some very nice small group tours before, but I wanted more control of our daily agenda, etc. I also knew I would need help with logistics, so I went looking for a reputable company. I tend to be a bit skeptical, especially when it comes to money. I did my research on Zicasso and the travel company – all checked out, time would tell... From the time we were met at the airport in Barcelona to being dropped off at the airport in Madrid, we were not let down. Our agent and his team delivered an amazing trip.

We had a personally curated trip with amazing hotels – each a true gem, great restaurants included or suggested, and private guides for our tours. Even though we didn't have the same guide or driver throughout our trip, the communication between them and our agent was amazing.

The trip needed to be modified as we went along depending on my folks' energy levels, etc, and this was done without us having to say a word. It was like a well-run relay and we were the baton being passed along with care and precision.

Our agent knows Spain and he is a stickler for the details, with excellent customer service. The app he uses is an amazing travel tool.
