Sydney – Arrive in Australia
Arrive in Sydney early in the morning with the sunlight glistening on the ocean. Sydney is known for its moderate climate making it a perfect destination no matter the time of year. Take advantage of an early check-in at your hotel and explore the stunning city of Sydney.
Stroll through Darling Harbour, a lovely walkable area on the waterfront boasting museums, gardens, restaurants, and a carousel. It is also the departure point for all harbor cruises. Hop on a cruise that will take you around Sydney Harbour and its surroundings. The ocean air blows over the bow of the ship as the carousel’s music fades in the distance. The sails of the Sydney Opera House point into the sky and mix with the sailboats floating around the esplanade. The bare frame of the Harbour Bridge holds fast above the sea. Homes pepper the shoreline through the trees as fishing trawlers make their way to the docks.
Watch the daylight fade behind Sydney’s skyline as you make your way to Doyles Beach to enjoy fresh, delicious seafood. The water taxi will ferry you to the beautiful seaside restaurant where you are promised a view of Sydney’s remaining sunset.

After a cancelled flight by Qantas and a two-day delay, we made it to Australia. Overall, the vacation was very nice. Our only real complaint was our hotel in Darwin. The hotel had seen better days, and the temperature in the hotel was very cold. After Darwin, the hotels and B&B were very nice. I highly recommend the Ghan Expedition train ride from Darwin to Adelaide.

Zicasso's tour planner did a superb job for us. She collaborated with us on working out our itinerary and had useful information on how to combine our desired destinations efficiently.
While we were in Australia, she was available via the company's app, including helping us on a late evening when our flight from Sydney to Hobart was canceled because of a cyclone and we needed a short-notice hotel in Sydney.

Overall, it was a very pleasant and enjoyable trip. Thanks to the great travel itinerary built by Zicasso’s tour operator, we experienced the best of the best in Australia. We loved the experiences in all three cities, Melbourne, Cairns, Sydney! We really appreciated the detailed arrangements, with impeccable care, experiences, and thoughts.

The travel specialist at Zicasso's tour company gave us a selection of different types of tours for Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart. Each tour had different levels of activities for us to select from, allowing us to create an itinerary based on our interests.
We had a couple of minor hiccups that were handled with a phone call. We would highly recommend this travel company.

In planning our trip to Australia and New Zealand, the representative for this travel company listened to our desires and incorporated them into an itinerary that met our needs. All of the tours, guides, transfers, and drivers were very good. Most of the tours were small group, which we prefer, although a couple of tours were as large as 24. The guides on all of our walking tours were incredibly informative. We learned so much.
We have traveled with our companion on nine trips through Zicasso. This is the first time we have felt that the partner travel company did not take all of our circumstances into account. We clearly stated we were older travelers. However, changes to our accommodations after the initial proposal had us walking 20 minutes to town in one place and uphill on the return. Staying in apartment-style lodgings, we were a mile from the nearest store to get breakfast supplies. Another of our hotels had an incredible number of stairs. When we expressed our disappointment in one of these to our agent by email, we got no response. Our planner was on holiday and no one else seemed to be checking her emails.
The recommendations for suggested activities on our free days were also generic and frequently were for activities that required a car to reach. It seems this company plans a lot of self-driving trips and the fact we were not driving was not reflected in our suggestions.
