Sydney – Arrive in Sydney and Spend the Remaining Day at your Leisure

Sydney is Australia’s oldest and largest city. It glows with the fantastic allure of the harbor, which is decorated with billowing white sails of the renowned Opera House and the graceful archway of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Your flight will land at Sydney International Airport where your private transfer greets you upon arrival. Gold-sand beaches line the city’s periphery with the Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk providing an easy path for strolling or cycling alongside the preserved natural beauty of surf, rugged coast, and lush foliage.

The old neighborhood of The Rocks stands on a tongue that protrudes into the harbor, and it hosts the foundations of the oldest European settlement in the country. More than 100 heritage sites and buildings wind around a network of old cobbled lanes such as Cadman’s Cottage. This building is the oldest surviving home in the city, which dates back to 1816. You have time to settle into the comforts of your luxury hotel in the heart of central Sydney. The remainder of the day will be yours to enjoy the charms of the bustling city.

Venture to Bondi Beach to visit the famous sands and wave breaks that captivate visitors and locals alike. You could also visit the Queen Victoria Building, also known as “QVB.” The original market hall was erected in the 1890s and topped with a fabulous central dome surrounded by 20 smaller domes to let in the natural coastal light. The sandstone colors of the walls resemble the beach sands leading to an interior gallery hosting 200 high-end shops, elegant stained-glass windows, and stunning mosaic floors.

Australia, New Zealand Trip Review: Tasmania, Rotorua, Uluru, Queenstown, Luging, Camel Ride, Wildlife, Hobbiton, Islands, Glowworm Cave, 2 Weeks

We absolutely loved so much of our trip! My kids’ (ages 11 and eight) favorite activities were luging in Rotorua, NZ, and the sunset camel ride in Uluru, AU, while my husband and I were enchanted by Hobbiton and enjoyed exploring a glowworm cave with the owner's father! We all loved Tasmania.

There were a few hiccups. However, we were very happy with all the support the Zicasso travel company's team provided in real time to help us get back on track.

The overall trip was fantastic. My husband and I appreciated having the team support our adventures, both the highs and the lows. The team members were detailed-oriented. This trip exceeded our expectations and we’re incredibly grateful for their expertise in curating such memorable experiences.

Australia Trip Review: Sydney, Uluru, Kakadu, Freycinet National Park, Cradle Mountain, Wildlife, Bridge Climb, Botanical Gardens, Catamaran Ride, 19 Nights

Zicasso's tour planner did a superb job for us. She collaborated with us on working out our itinerary and had useful information on how to combine our desired destinations efficiently.

While we were in Australia, she was available via the company's app, including helping us on a late evening when our flight from Sydney to Hobart was canceled because of a cyclone and we needed a short-notice hotel in Sydney.

New Zealand, Australia Trip Review: Sydney, Great Barrier Reef, Dart River, Phillip Island, Dinner Cruise, Rainforest, Wildlife, Snorkeling, Helicopter Ride, Boat Tour, 23 Nights

Thanks to the amazing, perfectly planned Australia and New Zealand vacation itinerary provided by Zicasso's travel agency, and specifically the travel agent and her wonderful colleagues, this was the perfect vacation. We were well taken care of and flights were planned within the countries, with someone always greeting us at the next stop to move us through to our next adventure.

We were always busy and saw the most wonderful things... a sunset dinner cruise on Sydney harbor, the march of the penguins at Phillip Island (she arranged for us to have a front-row seat!), snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef, and touring the rainforest with an Aboriginal guide was very interesting! She arranged for many tours and activities, like a jet boat ride up the Dart River, a helicopter ride onto a glacier, and a TranzAlpine train ride in New Zealand. We also had a first-time-ever encounter with a pod of orca while on a boat tour in New Zealand. The whole trip was an unforgettable experience!

We wished we had taken the travel agent's advice and stayed longer. There was so much to see. We packed a lot into our four short weeks thanks to them. We highly recommend using them to plan your Australia and New Zealand itinerary.

Australia, New Zealand Tour Review: Great Barrier Reef, Uluru, Milford Sound, Queensland to Franz Josef Drive, 3 Weeks

I am very pleased to have worked with Zicasso’s travel agent and her company. I wanted to travel to Australia and New Zealand, and our agent’s suggestions on what and where to go and see were great. Where does one begin in planning for the trip and all the logistics to make it happen? I depended on your group and found the results exceeded my expectations. The trip flowed well and the experiences were great. Thank you for making the trip about seeing and experiencing rather than worrying about the logistics!

There were many positive experiences, but the little details, like choosing the right rental car for the NZ roads and having a great limo service, made the difference. What was the highlight?  I wish I could distill it to one or two. I would rate Milford Sound and the Great Barrier Reef highly, but it was the overall experience that stood out. My personal thanks and those of my travel mates.
