Spain Birthday Trip Review: Madrid, Mallorca, Barcelona, Private Guides, Flamenco, 10 Nights

I cannot begin to describe how wonderful Zicasso’s travel agent was while helping me plan my two-week birthday trip to Spain! From the very beginning, she had amazing communication through the Zicasso website and its messaging portal. She worked well with my schedule to set up a time for phone calls, even with a six-hour time difference between her and I. Every part of the planning process was exceptional!

We used WhatsApp to communicate daily once my husband and I left for Spain. Our agent and a colleague were always available if I needed anything. Within minutes, they were responsive and attentive! They sent our booking information and boarding passes through my email (which I printed from home), as well as through WhatsApp the day before. Our agent set up private transportation for my husband and I. They were always friendly, safe, and on time.

One of the many highlights of our trip was the flamenco show our agent recommended in Madrid! 10/10!! Every hotel recommendation was amazing – great accommodations and locations for all of them! Our agent set up our rental car in Mallorca and it was so seamless with the directions she gave and the booking number she provided.

The itinerary she sent before my husband and I left was clear and easy to follow. There were no questions about meeting points or where we needed to be and at what time. Even on the days that we scheduled as “free time”, she had amazing recommendations for activities, food, etc. She even detailed which restaurants based on the type of food. I was very impressed by the amount of detail provided. It was a very professional and overall amazing experience for my first time in Spain! I would definitely recommend using our travel company for your next trip to Spain!! Do not hesitate to use this travel company!

Spain, Portugal Tour Review: Lisbon, San Sebastian, Cooking Class, Coimbra, 19-Day Trip

The itinerary was very well laid out, covering all of our points and activities of interest. We received frequent follow-ups and check-ins from Zicasso's travel agency during the trip.

We had two unforeseen disruptions: a nationwide power outage in Spain and a canceled connecting flight in Barcelona. In both cases, there were timely follow-ups and prompt emergency hotel and transportation bookings. Very impressive customer service.

Greece, Spain Trip Review: Athens, Valencia, Bike Tour, 17 Days

The Greece trip was great. The Athens hotel and tours were perfect. In Spain, some places did not have our reservation. The tours in Spain did not have my contact information to confirm. One tour in Barcelona did not even have the correct name.

Portugal, Spain Trip Review: Porto, Douro Valley, Segovia, Barcelona, Madrid, Wine Tastings, 3 Weeks

The trip itinerary and guides provided in Barcelona, Porto, the Duoro Valley, and Madrid were excellent. They were very knowledgeable, professional and personable, and spoke excellent English.

Most of the drivers were very good, but we were surprised that some of them did not provide bottled water for half-day tours (we had to ask and stop to buy it). This was a minor nuisance, but given the price of tours and previous experiences, a simple expectation, as well as having the car cooled down and AC on during hot days when being picked up.

The tour manager did an outstanding job overall, but could have improved on some specific requests that seemed to be either forgotten or missed regarding an electric scooter/wheelchair we rented that caused some issues during pick-up and drop-off. Otherwise, working with her was a very good experience.
