Seminyak – Beaches at Rest
Bali is a picturesque island of stunning jungle terrain, dramatic volcanic peaks, and elegant white sand beaches. Your flight descends into Ngurah Rai International Airport. You look out the window to find the mixture of glistening azure waters bordering coastal plains spreading to dense jungle canopy. Your private transfer greets you at the airport upon your arrival and escorts you to a fabulous hotel blending traditional Balinese architectural style with contemporary luxury. Palm trees frame the infinity pool offering a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean. Quiet restaurants flicker with graceful torches and fill the air with the aroma of grilling seafood garnished with zesty lime.
The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy the pleasures of Seminyak at your preferred pace, from strolling along the boutique shops at the heart of the town to visiting the cultural landmark of Petitenget Temple on a street running parallel to the beach. The complex was erected in the 16th century with a dragon staircase leading to the vast courtyard. Dozens of shrines decorate the grounds; each draped with the traditional checkered cloths. The faint aroma of burning incense emanates from the shrines. Antique, leafy trees shade the entrance and make it feel as though you have traveled worlds away from the lapping waters of the coastline.

There is no better way to experience Bali than on this 9-day adventurous excursion encompassing mountain peaks and quiet shorelines, rainforest trails and rice paddy terraces. The spectacular journey begins with your arrival at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar. Your private transfer meets you upon your arrival and escorts you to a gorgeous resort-style accommodation on the shores of Seminyak. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy the streets of the seaside town by digging your toes into the soft white sand or visiting the Petitenget Temple complex.
The following day takes you on a scenic drive through the highlands to reach the village of Bedugul, which offers views of the three crater lakes. While descending the hills, you hike into the jungle terrain to find Munduk Waterfall before continuing on to explore the Jatiluwih Valley. Your guide meets you after breakfast and escorts you into the Highlands to view the island’s largest crater lake. Traverse the shores of Lake Batur inside the Mount Batur caldera and enjoy a private tour of a celebrated plantation for an insight into the cultivation and procurement of coffee. Indulge in a tasting of the plantation’s coffee varieties before returning to Seminyak.
Next, venture along the famous rice paddies lining the valleys outside of Ubud. Enjoy a culturally immersive tour with a hands-on woodworking experience in the artisan village of Mas. Once in Ubud, your cultural tour continues beneath the trees of the Sacred Monkey Forest. Then, your guide leads you to the foothills of Bali’s largest mountain, Mount Agung, to cycle along the meandering hills, visit the local villages, and traverse the terraced temples of Besakih. Enjoy the trails connecting Tenganan Village to Kastala Village. Witness the ancient textile work of ikat, a dyeing technique, and enjoy the fresh air sweeping across the rice paddies.

Zicasso's travel agent did a wonderful job of arranging seamless, complex transfers from Java to Gili Air to Ubud, Bali, and provided great guides, drivers, and advice, as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot and local currency on arrival. We did have an issue with hotels not reserved until a couple of days ahead and he promptly resolved the problem.
Our agent was a very responsive and prompt communicator. We would recommend!

Team Zicasso,
Our trip to Bali was simply outstanding… we could not have asked for a more amazing vacation! Our highest compliments to our travel agent and the team he put together (our tour guide and driver) to make our vacation (a belated 50th birthday celebration) unforgettable. The travel company put together a top-notch itinerary with the most memorable excursions. From the sunset hike of Mount Batur to tours of rice fields and several temples, and three relaxing days in the Gili Islands, we could not have asked for more!
Our agent was a master communicator and planner who was always two steps ahead. Throughout the entire planning process, he was punctual, efficient, honest, and a problem-solver to boot. Just one example: I miscalculated our departure day by one day and did not realize it until close to the end of our trip. Instead of me trying to frantically rearrange flights etc., our agent, within 30 minutes of hearing my problem, had three viable options for me ready to go, without any interruptions to our schedule. Another very professional touch that showed his willingness to go above and beyond was his personally greeting us at each new hotel we stayed at to ensure the accommodations met our expectations.
I will definitely team up again with Team Zicasso and this company for future travel plans.
Sincerely,
Jeff H.

The hotel in Sanur was absolutely special! We highly recommend it. The resort in Ubud was also wonderful. The staff were great. We had no idea this town was such a vibrant place and would have loved more time to explore it, possibly from a walkable hotel.
Our guide and driver were wonderful and flexible when we needed to stop for a Diet Coke and iced cappuccino. We also felt that Zicasso's travel company was flexible with our changes as we went.
We did the Bali safari on our transfer day and it was a stop we really enjoyed.
Nice job, all involved!

Overall, Zicasso’s travel agent was excellent. The agent was very receptive to our requests, planned our trip very well based on our input, and every arrangement was seamless, without any hiccups.
Singapore is quite humid and can get hot, more than Texas. With walking everywhere, it can be uncomfortable, so perhaps plan to visit in the cooler months, based on local agents’ feedback.
Vietnam was a surprise in all dimensions. It had very good infrastructure. The travel agents took fantastic care of us and the trips to Ninh Bình, which included a bamboo boat tour, and Hạ Long Bay, with a private boat tour, were noteworthy and must-dos.
Bali was a magical and mystical land, with extremely polite and hospitable people and an extraordinary guide who was calm and facilitated our tour so well. The early-morning Mount Batur hike, though moderately strenuous, was worth it, as the sunrise was spectacular, and the trip to the Jagasari area was peaceful and so insightful. I highly recommend staying longer than the four days we stayed and perhaps changing the location to the coast and north side, as traveling within the island from one spot to another takes a long time. The highlight was the kechak dance performance. It gave us goosebumps.
The arrangements were wonderful, with great accommodations and transportation.
Thanks to our travel agent.

The itinerary was well-paced. The hotels were mostly great! The cars were very comfortable. The guides/drivers were prompt and made us feel very safe around crowded locations. The drivers knew the areas well and were skilled in driving on narrow, hilly roads with oncoming, crowded traffic. They provided us with a cold water bottle every day. Other than the hotel tax issue in Malaysia and the incorrect room assignment in Bali, this was an excellent trip. It rained in a few places, but the guide/drivers provided us with giant umbrellas to keep us dry. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

We had a spectacular time making memories with our family in Indonesia. The Zicasso tour agency's team was considerate, caring, accommodating, and well-organized. Their attention to detail, consideration, and anticipation of issues were unparalleled. We were out of the country and they still made sure we got the best service from the craftsman we ordered from. Our family will have lasting memories of this special time. We are looking forward to booking another trip with them.
